Day 11 – Your siblings, in great detail
Oct. 13th, 2010 02:15 amMy sister is older than me by three minutes. I could mention our 'twin connection', or how we've managed to stay close through so much through the years. But I think that would be a disservice to her. She's much more than my twin, you know?
She's one of the strongest people I know. Bullheaded. Occassionally she comes across as a bully, but I think that's because of the responsibility heaped on her when we were younger. It's always been very 'Kalyca knows best', even if she didn't. A little spoiled, too, but then we both were. But she's very loyal. Loving.
I think growing up I was pretty jealous of her. She was allowed to go to public schools (even though she refused, she wanted to be with me), she had boys drooling over her.. she wasn't considered 'a detriment to our society' like I was. Of course she never believed the bureaucratic and religious bullshit, and that was a godsend. She's the one who told my parents we were moving to Sanctuary to open up shop, when I was still in pipe-dream land and afraid to voice my wishes. She did a lot of that, speaking up when I was afraid to.
She's an amazing dancer. I once thought she was going to go pro, sell out theaters and be on TV. But one day she came home with about a thousand dollars worth of baking supplies and never looked back. She's got this capacity for baking I've never seen before. It's like crack in the form of a brownie.
She recently got married, back in May (has it been that long already?!) to one of my closest friends. I expect her to tell me she's pregnant any day now. I saw Jake's sister, who is an oracle, buying up some baby blankets about a week ago...haha.
She's also deathly phobic of the color yellow.
( The rest. )
