Day 08 - A memory, in great detail

My first memory ..
I was maybe three. I know I was old enough to walk, old enough to toddle around like I owned the place. Our abilities besides floating weren't due for a couple of more years, but Kal and I floated whenever mom wasn't looking. (It's a very real fear that children will float/fly more than walk - you can see the obvious problems that could cause.) Mom had my sister and I outside, in the front yard. I think Kal might've been making mud pies, but I was mesmerized by my mom using her powers to sweep up the fallen leaves. And the colors, too, how well all of them blended together so nicely.
I wanted to touch them, so I got up, toddled over, and grabbed a pile of leaves Mom had just pushed together. Then I threw them up high, giggling the entire time. It was like magic to have all that color and beauty falling around me, and I wanted my sister to play, too.
But she was too busy. So I picked up a bunch of leaves on the wind and tossed them over at my sister, causing them to fall around her.
And that's when I noticed my mom staring at me in shock.
