Day 1 - Introduce Yourself.

Well, if you're reading this, you should already know my name. My given name is Kairos Aether - no middle name. (Apparently my sister and I are too lame for middle names.) I was born three and a half minutes after my older sister Kalyca, and raised in Pézenas France. We're sylphs - aka air faeries. This means I tend to float a lot.
Kalyca and I moved to Sanctuary in the Summer of 2007. We were sixteen years old. It probably wasn't what our parents wanted, but we graduated early and because of our stigma, living in Pézenas wasn't the most logical thing to do. Safer, sure, but life for me was pretty awful and I was in a near-constant state of depression.
See, I'm a little off in the head. Our species is attached to an art of some sort - my sister's art is baking, my cousin Mathias is music. Mine is painting and jewelry making - it's what we make our living at. And we do a good job - but if I don't have enough of that outlet - drawing things, twisting silver wire, I sort of lose it. Lose control, lose my grip on reality. The Talent has to get out, and it doesn't care how it does that. I've bloodied myself trying to draw on walls. It's wild, frenzied, and dangerous. It's something that scares me so much, but in the years since moving to Sanctuary, I've learned to deal with the beast inside, if you will. The people, though they still think I'm crazy, are far more OK with that than the people back home.
I found the Nexus about two years ago. A friend of mine - my first BFF outside of my sister - showed me where there was a door near my building, and the rest was history. About three months ago, I had an 'episode' inside of the Nexus, and in my unwell state, I took the wrong door home and got stuck. For 10 years, I was in a foreign world that wasn't like ours, but I learned a lot about myself and just when I thought I'd never get home, a door opened. Imagine my surprise when I saw my sister and realize only three months had passed here, while I was now 29 instead of 19.
I have a gorgeous little King Charles Cavalier puppy named Regina, and a thriving internet presence where I sell my paintings and jewelry. Or, if you live in Sanctuary or have access to it, I have a flagship store and gallery. Come see me! :)
